This regular post will profile one of the North Myrtle Beach area’s many shopping centers.
Upscale shopping. Those two words, when put together, sound so luxurious. They conjure up visions of handbags, high heels and other accessories that you don’t really need but desperately want. Fortunately for those vacationing in the area, The Market Common, Myrtle Beach offers the perfect opportunity to indulge in an upscale shopping experience. It’s a great place to go as part of a girls’ getaway weekend, too!
Calling itself an “urban village community,” Market Common is essentially a town built for shopping. Visitors aren’t confined to the indoors, as they would be in a typical shopping mall; rather, they can peruse the several-blocks’ worth of stores, and enjoy the weather between stops. There is even a park.
The outlet is home to some of the country’s best-known retail stores: Anthropologie, White House / Black Market, Brooks Brothers Country Club, Banana Republic and Fossil, to name a few. Looking for more local flavor? Market Common has that as well, with area shops like Copper Penny and Dixie Divas. Market Common’s site lists promotions and events happening with each store.
Market Common has some restaurants for shoppers who work up an appetite. They range from quick bites – Ultimate California Pizza, Nacho Hippo – to sit down – King Street Grille, Travinia Italian Kitchen. There is a movie theatre, too.
Vacation Rentals of North Myrtle has plenty of fabulous properties that are just a short drive away from Market Common, such as our condos in Margate and Barefoot Resort. Schedule your summer vacation right now by visiting our bookings page!
