North Myrtle Beach’s Tree City Board is hosting an out-of-season Arbor Day in celebration of the recent PalmettoPride Tree Grant bestowed upon the city. The event, December 6 at the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex, caps off a week of tree planting: 12 trees will be planted on Friday, while 97 were planted Tuesday.
The public is invited to attend and participate in planting the trees. Keep North Myrtle Beach Beautiful, Driftwood Garden Club, Yaupon Garden Club and other local organizations will be there as well.
Through its Tree Grant program, PalmettoPride donates trees to be used in beautification projects around the state.
