The North Myrtle Beach City Council passed the second and final reading of a non-smoking ordinance Feb. 6, said Public Information Officer Patrick Dowling in an e-mail. The new ordinance will regulate smoking within city limits, although it does not include electronic cigarettes.

The ordinance will go into effect March 7. Details will be posted on the city’s website once the city attorney creates a final version of the ordinance.
