Motorcycles and the beach go together like – well, it’s an admittedly odd combination, but North Myrtle Beach will be welcoming the hog-riding community with open arms during its upcoming Bike Week.
Billed as “The Carolinas’ Largest Motorcycle Event,” the Myrtle Beach Bike Week begins May 13 and has a roster full of bike-themed happenings. There are, for instance, Freedom Ride Tours scheduled for May 17-19. Bikers can enjoy the South Carolina sights and sounds as they ride 90-100 miles each tour, making stops at Jamin’ Leather and Medieval Times. Local businesses will also offer promotions and specials in honor of the rally.
Cooter’s Backyard Bar and Grill will be the welcome center for bikers; the burger and barbeque joint will serve a free breakfast May 17- 21 from 9-11 a.m.
Although some lodging for bikers is located in the Grand Strand, all events will take place in NMB or Murrell’s Inlet. For more event details, go to myrtlebeachbikeweek.com
