Enjoy a family filled weekend as we celebrate our 23rd St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival in North Myrtle Beach. This is the largest parade on the Grand Strand as ample amount of people line up along Main Street.
Its been stated, “The St. Patrick’s Day Festival started on March 11, 1988, when a group of far-sighted individuals thought that it was time to give the Canadians even MORE of a reason to come to North Myrtle Beach during the week long Can-Am Celebration. The first Festival was spearheaded by Ben Scalia and other community members. It was staged at North Myrtle Beach’s Surfwood Shopping Center until 1992 when it was moved to Ocean Boulevard and Main Street due to its popularity and size.”
Today over 25,000 attendees swarm the streets as local businesses throw candy to the crowd!
Dress in your favorite green attire, grab your camera and enjoy this free one-day event! Stroll along Main Street and take pleasure in musical bands, floats, marching units, food vendors, and arts and crafts.
Step inside our very own Irish Tavern Pub and pull up a chair and enjoy the sounds of Irish music in the background. Bring the *wee* ones to enjoy the children’s area filled with fun rides and entertainment.
