31st Annual Intracoastal Christmas Regatta In Little River

Gather around the Little River Inlet the Saturday after Thanksgiving (Nov. 28th) to watch the Intracoastal Christmas Regatta as it passes viewing areas along the Intracoastal Waterway. Boats will leave the Little River Inlet at 5PM and travel south, arriving at Dock Holidays Marina at 7PM. And be sure to bring a toy donation for Toys for Tots or make a donation for the Humane Society while you are there. Not content to just watch the festivities? North Myrtle Beach Christmas Parade
The annual North Myrtle Beach Christmas Parade brings holiday cheer and delight to residents and visitors alike. The parade will take place this year on Saturday, Dec. 6th from 5:30-7PM, and runs from Main Street to Ocean Boulevard, and will disperse on 2nd Avenue North. Any point along Main Street provides the perfect spot to view the parade. Expect holiday songs, colorful floats, beauty queens and marching bands along the way!

North Myrtle Beach Christmas Wonderland
The fun in North Myrtle Beach continues this year at the Christmas Wonderland! Visitors will experience different attractions including a hayride lights show, a 3D Walk to the North Pole, a Christmas “Under the Sea“ Puppet show, a petting zoo, a family circus, and more! Visitors can also help Santa “save Christmas” in South Carolina’s first interactive holiday paintball attraction. This magical new event opens on November 26th at the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex.

Festival Of Trees At Ripley’s Aquarium
Ripley’s Aquarium has gone Christmas-Crazy again this year by adding over 20 new trees to their already large collection. Visitors can plan to explore the Aquarium’s 14,000 aquatic animals, while enjoying the largest tree display in the state! The 2015 Ripley’s Festival of Trees uniquely represents the heritage and diversity of our great United States and US Territories. Children are encouraged to bring their letters to Santa since there is a brand new mailbox with a direct line to Mr. Claus himself! For each stamped letter received Ripley’s will donate one toy to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots.

Holiday Shows

Celebrate the Spirit of Christmas at one of the area’s many theaters.

Celebrating its 30th season, the Carolina Opry’s multi award-winning Christmas Special is the only show that has won every major South Carolina Tourism award, including the Governor’s Cup and Most Outstanding Attraction. Dazzle your family with incredible holiday decorations that feature more than 35 Christmas trees, including a 30-foot lobby tree. This year’s show includes stars of NBC’s America’s Got Talent joined by an award-winning cast of over 35, including Calvin Gilmore, Rita Gumm, Christie Templeton and many others! The Carolina Opry Dancers kick off a fantastic evening of merry-making that includes and a real horse-drawn sleigh and real snow! Shows run November 2, 2015 through January 2, 2016.

The Palace Theater presents Christmas Wonderland with glittering costumes, traditional Christmas songs and the high kicking chorus girls. To bring extra joy to the event, Santa and his elves make a special appearance, and two championship skaters perform on the world’s largest floating ice pond. Christmas classics will be sung such as “White Christmas,” “Jingle Bells,” “Deck the Halls” and more. The show runs from November 3 through December 19, 2015.

Get ready for an evening filled with song, dance and laughter at The Alabama Theatre’s award-winning production, The South’s Grandest Christmas Show. The true meaning of Christmas comes alive through a combination of traditional Christmas classics and contemporary holiday favorites. Start a new southern family tradition! The show runs November 2, 2015 through January 2, 2016.

Looking for a lively way to ring in the holidays? Pirate’s Voyage offers a special Christmas-themed show with a nautical take on A Christmas Carol. Captain Scrooge and the mystical Spirit of Christmas travel to the past, present and future of Buccaneer Bay, encountering such wonders as Christmas toys that come to life and a beautiful live Nativity. Enjoy a four-course holiday feast while you watch the show! The show runs November 5, 2015 through January 2, 2016.

This year’s Legends In Concert holiday show will bring back wonderful memories with timeless tributes from Nat King Cole, Dolly Parton, Rod Stewart, Elvis Presley, and more. The Christmas show is carefully produced with the ultimate holiday experience in mind for music fans, and runs from November 2 though December 19, 2015.

Tree Lighting Events
Christmas tree lightings are an annual tradition for the Myrtle Beach area, kicking off the season and putting a little holiday spirit in all of us. Gather up the family and head out to these festive events!

Barefoot Landing: On November 21st at 7PM, Fireworks welcome Santa Claus to Barefoot Landing for the annual Lighting of the Landing. Enjoy holiday-themed music, characters, free carousel rides, refreshments, and more.

Broadway at the BeachBroadway at the Beach hosts their 21st Annual Tree Lighting Celebration with live entertainment from local stars, followed by a fireworks show on December 5th at 6PM. Arrive early for Breakfast with Santa at the Hard Rock Café, or the Ripley’s Aquarium Christmas Parade that starts at 11AM!

McLean Park: Santa asks for all children to gather at McLean Park in North Myrtle Beach for the Lighting of the city Christmas tree on December 4th at 6PM. A fun evening is planned with refreshments and holiday-themed activities!
