Fresh from our August PR, here are 10 reasons to go to North Myrtle Beach this month:
1. The Beach
A classic summer trip just doesn’t work without some quality time in the sun and surf. Many of VRNMB’s homes and condos are within walking distance to the beach; some are even oceanfront. Guests who stay at their Barefoot properties, for example, have access to the resort’s complimentary oceanfront cabana.
North Myrtle Beach is world-renowned for its golfing; local courses at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club and Barefoot Resort have been praised by Golf Digest and Golfweek. The Dunes is even in the running for best course in the state. Vacation Rentals of North Myrtle Beach can book tee times for guests, and their Grand Cayman condos have a putting green. Putt-putt fans will find many great mini-golf courses to play on as well.
This summer has been great for fishing so far, and the forecast looks good through August. Guests can head over to Cherry Grove Pier (a short walk from many of VRNMB’s Cherry Grove properties), rent fishing gear, and hopefully catch some dinner, or charter a boat and spend the day out on the Atlantic.
4. Festivals and Events
Summer is a busy time in North Myrtle Beach. It seems like every day there’s a new festival or a free concert happening somewhere. August highlights include the Dog Days Blues & Jazz Fest, MacLean Park’s sounds of summer concert series, and the World Amateur Golf Championship. Check out the company’s events calendar for more ideas.
For the most part, North Myrtle Beach has escaped the heat wave that’s slowly roasting the rest of the continental U.S.
No matter the cuisine—Italian, Southern, barbeque, seafood—North Myrtle Beach has it. Barefoot resort, Ocean Boulevard and Main Street are enclaves for fine dining. Vacation Rentals of North Myrtle Beach has a comprehensive list of the best restaurants in the area. Thirsty? Check out La Belle Amie Vineyard for wine tastings and vineyard tours.
Bring back some souvenirs or just treat yourself at the local shops. They range from inexpensive shops at Barefoot Landing and to more upscale stores at The Market Common and Tanger Outlets. Both venues have some great deals for August, including end of summer and pre-fall sales.
Take the kids to the world’s largest inflatable waterslide. Go see a Pelicans baseball game. Attend a free concert in the Horseshoe or check out an up and coming band at The House of Blues. There will still be plenty of activities to keep the whole family busy when they need a break from the beach.
North Myrtle Beach is a stress-free place: no conference calls, no meetings, and you only make business deals on the golf course if you want to. Linger over lunch at an oceanfront café, instead of wolfing down a salad in the cafeteria. Enjoy happy hour with views of the Intracoastal Waterway or a marina. Plan a late-night event and not have to worry about waking up the next day. Take the kids for a fun family break, or leave them behind and go on a romantic weekend getaway.
10. Great Accommodations
None of these other nine reasons trump a great vacation home. Vacation Rentals of North Myrtle Beach has an array of beautiful houses in condos all over the area. They each have comfortable interiors and come in all different sizes, from cozy one bedrooms to spacious homes that can sleep up to 24.
