Salute From The Shore
July 2nd, 2016
Show appreciation for the veterans that fought for our freedom over the years, and for our current, service men, on July 2nd, 2016. At Salute From The Shore, veterans fly over the beach and parties gather to salute and say thank you as the planes zoom overhead.
Salute from the Shore is a non-profit, grassroots group of patriotic South Carolinians who started this unique event in 2010. Touched by an outpouring of personal messages, stories and support, the group has continued to plan the annual display as an opportunity for families and individuals to salute and thank our armed forces while celebrating the 4th of July in on South Carolina beaches.
While Salute from the Shore plans to capture as much footage of the flyover as possible from both air and ground, participants are encouraged to get in on the action by taking their own video and photos, while sporting red, white and blue in clear view. Capture your own salute to send to post on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram at salutefromtheshore.org, and tag images with #SalutefromtheShore!
