It’s never too cold for the Polar Bear Plunge. Show the Grand Strand what you’re made of this Saturday, Feb. 7, and help raise money for the Special Olympics of South Carolina. Their goal this year is to collect $100,000; there will be more than 700 brave (?) people participating in 2015.

The event kicks off at 10 a.m. at Ocean Sands Club in Myrtle Beach. Although the main plunge isn’t until 2 p.m., there is an 11 a.m. early plunge for people who just can’t wait. There will also be a costume contest and parade, as well as plenty of food, music and games. The registration form is here; check out the event’s fundraiser page as well, if you want to give without jumping into freezing water.
